B-movie special effects and freaky ’70s horror/sci-fi filter plays off this enchanting, dance glaze hook for a very unforgettable experience, though not for those with a weak stomach. Their newest (and quite wonderful) album "ODD BLOOD" comes out Feb. 9.
2. Toro Y Moi- "Blessa"
Probably done on a budget relying on favors from friends and borrowed equipment, "Blessa" is more than efficient at capturing the feel of the song, a dreary tunneled view of a house party that is delightfully hazy.
3. Mystery Jets- "Young Love"
In honor of Valentine's Day I present "Young Love," a track that blew up in native England but never quite caught on stateside. It's delightfully cheeky, colorful video that will have you wondering if in a parallel universe they are America's Arctic (or "Artic") Monkeys.
4. Jay-Z- "On To The Next One"
This club banger finds a video that sets it apart, and also appears like the producers might have brought on both Wayne Coyne and Robert Smith as creative consultants. Flaming basketballs, flying samurai and skeletons? Yes, please.
5. A Sunny Day in Glasgow- "So Bloody, So Tight"
This charming track sees its counterpart in its video — a free flowing, minimalist anthem that hops along with a playful thump. Epic use of paint VIA "Be Kind Rewind."
