Women's basketball: No. 1 Bears pummel Sooners in Waco, 82-65

The OU women’s basketball team had absolutely no answer for Brittney Griner and the No. 1 Baylor losing, 82-65, for its second conference loss.

Key stat: 27.8 percent. The Sooners shot an abysmal 27.8 percent from the field

Key player: Senior center Brittany Griner was a force to be reckoned with, recording 15 points, eight rebounds, eight blocks, an assist and a steal, as she helped the Bears cruise to victory.

What it means: The Sooners are now 5-2 in the Big 12 and need find a better rhythm after shooting a season-low 27.8 percent from the field.

Next up for the Sooners: OU plays TCU at 7 p.m. on January 30 at Lloyd Noble Center.
