Men's basketball: Sooners lose to Jayhawks by double figures in Lawrence

The OU men's basketball team's 20-year drought in Lawrence continued Saturday, as OU fell to No. 3 Kansas, 67-54.
Key stat: 35.6. The Sooners shot 35.6 percent from the field, 25 percent from beyond the arc, in the loss.
Key performer: Junior forward Amath M'Baye scored 12 points and snagged seven rebounds.
Key opponent: Freshman guard Ben McElmore led all scorers with 18 points — shooting 5-for-10 from the field (3-for-5 from the three-point line) — and also added seven rebounds.
What it means: OU still has some work to do. The Sooners have yet to win a game against a ranked opponent and have lost two of their last three games after starting conference play with three straight wins.
Up next for the Sooners: OU plays Baylor at 6 p.m. on Jan. 30 in Waco.
