Ahmed is known throughout the U.S., the Middle East, and the world as an award-winning, ethnic comedian for his work with the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour and subsequent Comedy Central television show, as well as for the interfaith comedy show “One Jew, One Arab, One Stage,” according to his website.

Another comedian, Max Amini, will be performing at OU as part of The Max Amini Stand-Up Comedy Show at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 at Oklahoma Memorial Union’s Meacham Auditorium, hosted by the Iranian Student Association. The event is currently sold out, according to the event's Facebook page.

Amini is an Iranian-American comedian who has appeared in numerous movies and television shows, including the film “Beer Pong Saved My Life.” He has performed across the world since 2002 and was a finalist for NBC’s Diversity Showcase in 2009.
