Women's Basketball: Kansas proves to be too much in Sooner’s second-straight loss

A sluggish first half proved to be too much for Oklahoma to overcome at Kansas today. Despite a late run, the Sooners fell to the Jayhawks 81-71.
Key Stat: 14. The Sooners faced their biggest halftime deficit in Lawrence today, falling behind 14 points at the end of the first. This proved to be too much for Oklahoma to overcome.
Key Player: Junior guard Aaryn Ellenberg was slow to start but picked things up in the second half to finish with 21 points and a rebound.
What it means: Kansas keeps its hopes alive to play in the NCAA tournament. Oklahoma starts its first losing streak of the season and falls to 18-7 overall and 8-5 in conference play.
What’s next: The Sooners take on Kansas State at home on Wednesday Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.
