Men's basketball: Sooners look to make season sweep in Bedlam

Garrett Holt, The Oklahoma Daily 12:18 p.m. February 15, 2013

What: Oklahoma (16-7, 7-4 Big 12) vs. Oklahoma State (18-5, 8-3 Big 12)

When: 12:30 p.m. Saturday

Where: Gallagher-Iba Arena, Stillwater.

How to watch: ESPN3

Players to watch: The Sooners are led by senior forward Romero Osby, who averages 13.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Freshman guard Marcus Smart has been the best player for the Cowboys. He holds averages of 14.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.

Key stat: 73.8 — the Sooners free throw percentage. OU generally has lived and died by the free throw. If their percentage is higher than their average, they play well and, conversely, they usually do poorly if they shoot below their average.

What’s at stake: First and foremost, the Bedlam games always are important for both OU and OSU because of their historical rivalry. Beyond that, this is a very important game for two teams trying to keep their heads above water in the Big 12 title chase.
