OU gave up a season-high 83 points against Iowa State on Monday night in Ames, falling to the Cyclones, 83-64, and losing a second straight game for the first time this season.
Key stat: 18.8. The Sooners shot an abysmal 18.8 percent from beyond the arc, sinking just three of the 16 three-pointers they shot.
Key performer: Senior forward Andrew Fitzgerald scored a team-high 12 points while adding seven rebounds an assist and a steal.
Key opponent: Senior guard Will Clyburn scored a game-high 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting. He also snagged five boards and dished a pair of assists.
What it means: After picking up a big road win against Baylor on Wednesday, OU has lost back-to-back games, dropping its record to 5-4 in Big 12 play. The Sooners will need to get back in the win column and have a chance to pick up a signature win when No. 5 Kansas comes to town Saturday.
Up next for the Sooners: OU plays Kansas at 3 p.m. Saturday at Lloyd Noble Center.
