Men's basketball: Comeback against No. 18 K-State falls short
The OU men’s basketball team was unable to come back to defeat No. 18 Kansas State, falling 52-50.
Key stat: 23. The amount of points OU scored in the first half. Kansas State held the Sooners scoreless for the final 6:27 of the half.
Key performer: Senior forward Romero Osby did everything he could to keep the Sooners in the game, scoring 13 points and adding seven rebounds.
Key opponent: Junior guard Will Spradling seemingly had an answer for every OU run, finishing with 12 points and three rebounds.
What it means: OU falls to 5-3 in the Big 12, while Kansas State pushes its record to 6-2.
Next up for the Sooners: Oklahoma heads back out on the road to take on Iowa State at 6 p.m. Monday in Ames.
