What to watch Dec. 8-14

“A Charlie Brown Christmas” (7 p.m. Monday, ABC)

Take a study break to watch this Christmas classic. Charlie complains about the materialistic nature of Christmas. He ends up becoming the director of the school Christmas pageant, where he picks a scrawny Christmas tree.

“Little Spirit: Christmas in New York” (7 p.m.Wednesday, NBC)

An original animated movie about two sisters who spend a taxi ride in New York City listening to a story (told by a cabbie voiced by Danny Devito) about a boy named Leo who moves with his family from the Midwest to Manhattan just before Christmas. Leo finds out that Christmas trees can be portals to other Christmas trees, which actually sounds like a pretty cool trick.

“The Office” (8 p.m. Thursday, NBC)

The office has a Moroccan-themed holiday party, which sounds like another one of Michael’s great ideas. “The Office” is at its best when the whole cast is together, which is what will definitely happen in this episode.

“Greatest Holiday Moments: Songs of the Season Countdown” (7 p.m. Friday, NBC)

You know you’ll be staying home the last Friday before finals to watch yet another awesome countdown from NBC. This time, they’re counting down the best TV performances of Christmas songs. It’ll feature classics like Gene Autry’s “Frosty the Snowman” as well newer, but just as great, tunes like Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas.”
