A May 17, 2012, story, Sooner baseball team to end regular season with weekend series against Samford at home, erroneously reported the OU-Samford baseball series was Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In fact, the series is Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
A May 3, 2012, story, Care packages to boost student's spirits before finals, misreported the room number for care package pickup. The correct room number is Couch Center, Room 131.
A May 1, 2012, editorial, Boren should be upfront with students when discussing budget issues, erroneously stated state appropriations have only decreased once in the last 19 years. In fact, state appropriations to OU have fallen three times. Two other years, however, funding decreases were covered by federal funds.
A May 1, 2012, story, Music review: Jack White's solo album good, but a bit too ballad-heavy, erroneously said Jack White collaborated with the Killer Clown Posse. White recently collaborated with the Insane Clown Posse.
An April 27, 2012, story, Press start to play: New intersession course looks to pause stereotypes with video games, misidentified the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication as the Gaylord College of Mass Communication and Journalism.
The headline for an April 25, 2012, story, Sigma Alpha Epsilon boxing tournament knocked out, erroneously abbreviated Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s name to “Sig Ep,” which refers to Sigma Phi Epsilon. Sigma Alpha Epsilon was scheduled to host the charity boxing event.
An April 25, 2012, story, Student Congress debates, partially approves Consolidation Act, incorrectly reported that Graduate Student Senate would meet at 7 p.m Sunday in Sarkeys Energy Center, Room A235. The Senate is meeting at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Oklahoma Memorial Union's Conoco Student Leadership Wing, 3rd floor.
An April 23, 2012, story, Relay for Life raises more than $100,000 after 11th annual event during weekend, used an erroneous figure for how much the event raised. The story originally reported the event raised $98,108, but that figure rose to $100,349 by the end of the event, OU Relay for Life chairwoman Elizabeth Auld said. The story also misreported the beneficiary of the money raised. The funds go to support the American Cancer Society. A photo caption accompanying the story in the print edition also misspelled University College freshman Tanner Linn's name.
An April 19, 2012, photo cutline in the photo gallery, OU Queer Royalty Pageant 2012, misreported that Wednesday’s event was GLBTF’s inaugural drag show. The group has hosted an annual drag show for several years, but Wednesday’s event was the organization’s first pageant.
An April 17, 2012, story, Mosque near campus opens doors to Muslims, residents, misidentifies Omar Alamoudi as president of the Islamic Society of Norman. Alamoudi is president of the Muslim Student Association.
An April 19, 2012, story, Sherri Coale praises leadership of Tennessee's Pat Summitt, who is retiring after 38 years, originally had Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt's name misspelled.
An info box in an April 18, 2012, story, Sangirardi, Sewell accepting applications for UOSA executive cabinet, originally had the UOSA Sooner Freshman Council's name misspelled.
A photo cutline in an April 18, 2012, story, Arabic Flagship Program to help Sooners learn language during summer, erroneously misidentified the Carson Engineering Center as the Carson Energy Center.
An April 18, 2012, story, Contraception misconception — The truth about birth control, originally had misspelled Mirena, the brand of a low-hormone intrauterine device.
An April 16, 2012, story, Men's tennis: Sooners win first conference title since 1992, reported that the OU men's tennis team won its first Big 12 title in 20 years. While the Sooners did win their first conference title since 1992, the Big 12 Conference was not formed until 1996. OU was a member of the Big Eight Conference in 1992.
An April 12, 2012, story, ‘Moon’ does not promise to engage, the designer of “They Promised Her the Moon” was misidentified. Costume design sophomore Melissa Perkins designed costumes for the show.
An April 11, 2012, story, 16 representatives officially take Student Congress seat, originally reported that 15 representatives took office. Actually, 16 representatives were sworn in and took office.
An April 10, 2012, story, OU's dorm costs climb 60% in 10 years, outpace cost of living, infographic about the cost of living at Traditions Square Apartments was mislabeled. The graphic represented the cost per month to live at Traditions.
An April 10, 2012, story, OU baseball: Sooners look to bounce back against No. 9 Razorbacks, incorrectly listed Arkansas as being ranked No. 11. The Razorbacks were ranked No. 9 in the Baseball America poll — which was used in the story — at the time the story ran.
An April 9, 2012, a photo caption with the news story, Arabian hospitality highlights evening, the students were misidentified. They were with the Lebanese Student Association. The caption also misspelled the name of the dance, Dabkeh.
An April 4, 2012, story, Mistake could leave Union Programming Board without an office, erroneously stated Graduate Student Senate's next meeting was April 8. In fact, Senate will meet at 7 p.m. April 15.
An April 3, 2012, story, Greg Jungman wins Norman's Ward 4 election, erroneously referred to Greg Jungman as George.
An April 3, 2012, story, Native American student groups gather to celebrate heritage, incorrectly misidentified Sigma Nu Alpha Gamma as Sigma Alpha Gamma.

An April 2, 2012, story, Kallmann aims to use HCSA to create safe, fun community for all, erroneously used the acronym HSCA to refer to the Housing Center Student Association. The story has been corrected to use HCSA.
A March 30, 2012, story, Sorority joins student bloggers for an evening of fashion, originally had Tovana Traylor’s name misspelled. The article also incorrectly identified the major of Tovana Traylor and Charles Atchison as human resources. Both Traylor and Atchison are human relations seniors.
In three photo cutlines that accompanied a March 30, 2012, story, 36th Medieval Fair to bring kings, knights to Norman this weekend, originally had Reaves Park misspelled.
A March 30, 2012, story, OU will use alumna’s endowment for scholarships for female journalists, incorrectly stated Mildred Nichols Hamilton was The Oklahoma Daily's first female editor in chief. The first female editor in chief of The Oklahoma Daily was Christine Squire Hill.
In a March 28, 2012, story, Students earn 16% fewer top grades in 'weed-out' courses than gen-eds, the labels in an infographic comparing the number of A’s given in rigorous and general-education courses were erroneously swapped. The graph has been corrected to indicate which line is which.
A March 28, 2012, story, Nine restaurants submit bid for Burger King's space in Adams Center, incorrectly stated 10 restaurants have submitted a bid to occupy the food venue in Adams Center. In fact, there are nine restaurants that have submitted bids.
A March 26, 2012, opinion column, Mormon practice of baptism for the dead done with good intentions, erroneously referred to the Mormon church as the Church of Latter-day Saints. This has been corrected to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is the church's official name.
A March 14, 2012, photo caption originally stated the OU Jazz Band performed an interpretation of John Brown's "I Feel Good." It has been corrected to say the band performed an interpretation of James Brown's "I Feel Good."
A March 12, 2012, story, Publication Board hires next Daily, Sooner yearbook editors, originally had Tegan Burkhard's name misspelled.
A March 6, 2012, story, Health Sciences Center's new education center opens, incorrectly stated the Samis Family Education Center cost $126 million to build. The story has been corrected to say the center was one of a three-part construction project that cost $126 million.
A March 5, 2012, story, Panam, India cultural nights showcase ethnic diversity at OU, originally quoted Asish Madhavaram, Indian Student Association president, as saying OU's Indian population was "around 3,000." In fact, Madhavaram said there are about 300 Indians at OU.
A March 1, 2012, story, OU implements task forces to improve graduation despite record rate, incorrectly reported OU's 2005 graduation rate as 67.8 percent. In fact, that number represents the six-year sampling of students.
A Feb. 29, 2012, story, EPA to re-evaluate standards for chemical in Norman drinking water, erroneously stated high levels of chromium-6 were found in Norman's drinking water in December 2011. The report used in the story was from December 2010.
A Feb. 29, 2012, editorial, Minority diversity vital for higher education in U.S., erroneously stated OU has an affirmative-action policy in regard to admissions decisions. The editorial has been corrected to say the university has an affirmative-action hiring policy, but not one for admissions. Also, the graph in the editorial originally stated the numbers represented the percentages of black, Hispanic and white people in Oklahoma compared to the same percentages nationally. The graph showed the percentages of black, Hispanic and white families below the poverty line in Oklahoma compared to the national percentages.
A Feb. 27, 2012, story, 2 OU teams win first place as Sooners stomp out the competition, incorrectly stated it was the 35th annual Stompdown competition. The event is in its 30th year, it is the Big 12 Conference on Black Student Government that is in its 35th year. The story also incorrectly stated four sororities and five fraternities participated. In fact, three sororities and six fraternities competed at Stompdown. The story also erroneously stated 300 people attended the event. Nearly 2,500 people attended, said Onisia Martin, Stompdown chairwoman. The story also incorrectly referred to the women of OU's Alpha Kappa Alpha chapter as Alphas on second reference. In reference to National Pan-Hellenic Council greeks, the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha are called AKAs or Ks, Martin said. She said the men of Alpha Phi Alpha are referred to as Alphas. Also, a photo that was published with the story misidentified the fraternity of the men shown as Iota Phi Beta. They are members of Iota Phi Theta. The story and caption have been corrected.
A Feb. 27, 2012, story, Are you afraid to say 'vagina' in public? These women aren't, erroneously stated there are 18 women participating in the university's production of "The Vagina Monologues." There are 16 actresses involved.
A Feb. 21, 2012, story, OU professor seeks to expand students' religious, political outlooks, originally had Nolan Kraszkiewicz's name misspelled.
The caption of a Feb. 15, 2012, photo at the bottom of the front page of the paper originally stated members of LGBTQF were passing out candy and condoms to students on the South Oval. In fact, they were members of the LGBTQ Advisory Board.
A Feb. 10, 2012, opinion column, Anonymous, the online hacking team, is not a terrorist group, originally had Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad's name misspelled.
A Feb. 9, 2012, story, International students plan to cast votes for candidates back home, originally had OU professor Katerina Tsetsura's name misspelled.
A Feb. 9, 2012, story, Journalism students dominate state broadcasting competition, erroneously stated OU broadcasting students won nearly one-third of the award categories at a state competition. In fact, the students won nearly one-quarter of the award categories.
A Jan. 31, 2012, story, Tickets to OU football spring game free for students, erroneously misreported the process for students to get free tickets to the OU football Red-White spring game by stating students needed to visit the stadium ticket office. In fact, students only need to show their valid OU ID at the gate on game day, April 14, for free admission.
The subhead on a Jan. 26, 2012, story, OU clears professor of two allegations tied to research work, incorrectly stated professor Chad Kerksick already had resigned after a yearlong absence. In fact, Kerksick has not resigned yet. He will resign in June, when his leave is over.
A Jan. 24, 2012, story, Professor uses graphic novels as learning tools, incorrectly referred to the Oklahoma City-based newspaper as The Daily Oklahoman. In fact, the newspaper changed its name to The Oklahoman in 2003.
The headline on a Jan. 24, 2012, photo at the bottom of the front page of the paper erroneously misrepresented The Earth Cafe and Deli's relocation by saying it "moves to Campus Corner." The restaurant already was on Campus Corner, but it moved to a new location.
A Jan. 24, 2012, opinion column, Anti-Sharia bill panders to silly fears, incorrectly stated former President George W. Bush appointed "most 10th Circuit justices." In fact, Bush only appointed six of the 19 judges.
The schedule of events with a Jan. 17, 2012, story, CAC to welcome back students with free food, games, erroneously included the events from the 2011 Winter Welcome Week. The schedule has been corrected to list the 2012 events.
